“Tommy Silhouette”

Due to the Tommy Silhouette being “vandalised” following the Dedication of the British Legion War Memorial on Saturday last, the Silhouette has now been placed¬†on the railings of the Town Clock balcony, together with a flag in remembrance of the fallen in the First World War. Both will remain in place until after the Royal British Legion Remembrance Day Parade on 11th November 2018.

Proposed names for new development

Flintshire County Council have requested the opinion of the Town Council regarding the naming of the new development on the site of the old Health Centre in Padeswood Road. The two options provided are :- Llys Hampson (in memory of Cllr Ron Hampson) or Llys Westlea as it is located close to Westwood School, its former name being West Lea Primary School. If anyone wishes to support either of the proposed names, please contact Ms Nadine Hughes, Flintshire County Council on nadine.hughes@flintshire.gov.uk
